Privacy

datonize does its math in your browser. This page lists everything that is stored or sent, so you can check it.

Last updated: October 23, 2026.

What we collect

Nothing. There are no accounts, no forms that send anything, no analytics or tracking scripts, no ads, and no scripts, fonts or images from other companies. The site's security policy only allows pages to load files from the site itself. We set no cookies.

What you type stays on your device

Your birthday, net worth, income, IQ score and height are used for the math in your browser and are never sent anywhere. To do the math, pages download the files they need from the site: the page itself, the text in your language, and data tables, such as the age table for your country (for example /data/pop/CA.json) on the human-number page, which shows which country was guessed or picked. None of these requests contains what you typed.

What your browser keeps

Kept until you delete it (localStorage):

Kept only until you close the tab (sessionStorage), on the human-number page: bday (your birthday, so a reload shows your result again) and country.

When you pick a language other than English, it is also written into the page address (for example ?lang=de), so it reaches our host if you reload, bookmark or share that address.

The button deletes the items above for this tab and for the browser. Another datonize tab that is still open keeps its own tab-only copy until you close it. Your browser may also keep copies of the site's files (pages, data tables, fonts) in its ordinary cache; these hold nothing about you.

Challenge links and share images

A challenge link carries, after the # sign, your human number or your rank, and the first name you typed, if any. Browsers do not send the part after # to any server, but anyone who opens the link can read it. Your human number matches your birth date, and a rank lets someone estimate the number you entered.

The part before the # is sent to our host when the link is opened, and to any app that fetches the page to show a link preview, as messaging apps do. It holds your birth year (/y/1990/) or your rank as a whole percent and, for height, the group you compared with (/height/r/f/64/).

The X, WhatsApp and Telegram buttons open that service with your message filled in, so the message, including the link and the name in it, is sent to that service as soon as you click one. "Send challenge" hands the message to your device's share menu, or copies it.

A share image is a picture drawn in your browser, with no hidden data in it. Your birthday or IQ score is printed on it only if you tick the box, but on the human-number page the number printed on it matches your birth date by itself. When you share an image through your device's share menu, the message that goes with it also contains your challenge link and the first name you typed.

Picking a famous person to compare with sends nothing. A creator's link such as /#vs=messi carries that pick after the #.

What our host sees

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address, browser details and the addresses of the files you request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We add no tracking to this, and we see only totals: numbers of requests by country, by status and by page address (so we can see how often, say, /wealth/r/91/ was opened), never an individual visitor. If Cloudflare ever challenges suspicious traffic, it may set its own security cookies, such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Links to other sites

Source links lead to other sites, which have their own policies. When you follow one, that site is told only that you came from this site, never the full address of the page.

Changes

If anything here changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
